The Sales and Marketing Professionals’ Rising Star Scholarship is designed to recognize and promote outstanding achievement by students pursuing a degree in sales, marketing or a related field.  It is our intention to invest in those who are the future of our profession.

Applicants for the Rising Star Scholarship are tasked with an essay on why they are interested in or chose their field of study and how they plan to impact the field once employed.  In addition, College Rising Stars will be asked to provide a small portfolio of applicable work that has been completed during school. (I.e. marketing plan, advertisement, press release, etc.)

An independent panel will review applications and select one High School and one College Rising Star, each of which will receive a $1,000 scholarship to their school of choice. Recipient(s) will be invited to attend and be recognized at the 2024 Mississippi Pinnacle Awards, Tuesday, April 9th at 6 p.m. and the Rising Star Scholarship Program on Tuesday, May 14th at 11:30 a.m. at William Carey University.

Rising Star Qualifications: This should be a high school senior or college student with plans to continue their education in the Fall of 2024 with a focus on sales, marketing, business, or a related field. Portfolio work may be from a class project. The deadline for submitting the Rising Star Scholarship applications is Friday, February 16, 2024.
